Summer story - for the cows and the stars

.
Two or three years ago, with my husband, we had to take care of the few cows of my relative for a day or two. We rode for hours on the hillside after them, returning to graze where it is allowed. We have lived in the city for a long time, and we have had almost no training. We fled from the fatigue and well that we should not have the cows in the evening. We went to bed early outside, on a lovely meadow, to the small farmhouse where we ate hungry. We were well equipped, though - how to save ourselves from mosquito scams? My husband soon fell asleep, but I did not, despite the fatigue ... I was staring at the big, bright stars above me, and they seemed like they were fascinating and enchanting me. It seemed to me that I was in a huge amphitheater, silent, breathless - I could not take my eyes off the sky. As if I blended with nature around, with the whole universe, even though I knew I was part of it, which the mosquitoes reminded me of. And I was already sleeping when another part of nature, even two, emerged from the twilight, mumbleing and crunching on the grass so close to me. I did not know how the two cows had come out of the barn and I tingled - if they were here, the rest where they were. I grabbed the lantern and ran. Thank goodness, they were in place. I easily counted them anyway. I returned, but in no way could I make my husband stand up and get the fugitive. I took them alone, with a stick in one hand and a lantern in the other, and they were barely moving. Looks like they did not get the right day or they were more insistent. And, unexpectedly they ran somewhere, probably scared by me. And more likely - to look for another pasture. But I was frightened and stressed, and running after cows stumbled and fell, the lantern broke and went out. I barely got to the summer bed and cried. My husband woke up and, repeating that the animals would come home alone, went to look for the lantern (in vain) and then went back to sleep. But, I could not, and so I could not help it... The huge stars stared at me again, staring at them as hypnotized. I was thinking - I had never seen such big and bright stars before. More beautiful than diamonds, they seemed to wink at me in a friendly way, and they seemed to be amazed and reassured. In the morning, the two fugitives came home, really alone, and I was quite reassured. But I will always remember that marvelous July night with cows and a fairy tale of fascinating, luminous stars ...
